News and Updates on my Second Novel

Site News

I realize I have not posted for some time. This is in part due to a serious problem with a Windows 10 update being forced onto one of my systems and turning it into a large paperweight. This issue took an absurd amount of time to resolve because of difficulty getting the necessary files to repair it from Microsoft. (The download repeatedly failed.) Fortunately I did not lose any of my writing and the issue appears to be resolved. Ideally I will now be able to get back to posting more regularly and I hope to have another character profile in the near future.

My Second Novel

I am also pleased to announce that I have completed the outline for the final chapters of my second novel which is a direct sequel to my first. Once these chapters are written a significant editing process will begin. Many people have been asking when my second novel will be available or when I might post previews. While I do not want to estimate a date of publication, I can say that previews will become available during the editing process. Any significant progress updates will be posted here.

Character Directory Released and Announcements

My character directory has been released.

The character directory is intended to be a simple listing of characters from my novel with some very basic biographical information. Links to more in depth character profiles will be added as they are published. Please consider purchasing my novel if you have not already, and remember to spread the word. Your support allows me to spend more time writing and thus publish more material more frequently. Once again I would like to thank everyone who has purchased my novel already.

Site Updates

You may also notice that there is a new references tab in the top menu, this contains links to the character directory and a page listing all published character profiles, both of which will grow as new material is published. In addition to these changes, there is new header art for character profile pages. I had hoped to release the character directory and these updates last week but I had to prioritize fixes to some behind the scenes scripting issues.

Announcements

Planned for release sometime next week is a complete listing of the characters that appear in my novel. This was done at the request of several readers. In an effort to keep this as spoiler free as possible, this list will simply contain the names of the characters and very brief descriptions of who they are. Along with this list I will begin implementing some cosmetic and functionality improvements that have been in the works.

I would also like to thank everyone that has purchased my novel, please remember to tell everyone you know about it to help spread the word.

My First Character Profile is now Available

Councilor Sara Laurenz is the first of my characters to be highlighted in a character profile. These profiles are intended to contain some very basic biographical and background data as well as some bonus content. Bonus content provides some insight into the character in question and shows sides of them that might otherwise be overlooked. This time, bonus content includes excerpts of a post election interview, taking place shortly before my novel begins.

Possible Spoiler Warning: Character profiles may contain some very minor spoilers about the character in question but should not reveal anything significant about the plot of my novel.

I would like to welcome everyone to councilscifi.com, a place for science fiction and technology enthusiasts.

Council Science Fiction came about as a place to showcase my writing, and discuss the numerous innovations and scientific breakthroughs that have helped inspire me. Here is just some of what you can expect to find on the site:

Short Stories and samples of my longer works.
Highlights on major scientific and medical advancements and discussion on how they influence my writing.
Updates on my writing and any previews that become available.
Additional bonus content related to my works, including character profiles and other reference material.

Furthermore, I would like to highlight some of the content that is available right now.
